Chicken is a good source of protein - it contains less of the saturated fat and cholesterol found in pork and beef. Moreover, who doesn't love a chicken soup? It is probably the most famous
soup ingredient in many grandmothers' recipes. It requires simple and quick preparation unlike other meat sources and you can cut down the fat to low by removing the skin.

This chicken soup recipe is so healthy and satisfying, you would want to cook it almost everyday. It can standalone as a snack or paired with a meal, the delicious chicken and broccoli

combination will certainly spark a kitchen addiction. But enough of the appetizing facts about this chicken soup recipe. If you're the type who loves a combination of mouthwatering and healthy
meal, you should try this chicken soup recipe with broccoli.

Eager now to get started? Take down the following ingredients and head straight to your grocery store to buy them. Get 1 cup butter, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 11 cups water, 3 cubes chicken
bouillon, 2 pounds chicken breast (skinless and boneless) cut into 1" cubes, 2 heads fresh broccoli and cut into florets, 1 1 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 cup light cream,

and 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese.

Now that you have the ingredients ready, prepare a large stockpot and heat over medium fire. Melt butter and mix in flour to form a paste. Remove the flour-butter paste from the pot and set it
aside. Using the same pot, pour water and add chicken, bouillon cubes, broccoli, salt, and pepper. Boil the mixture over high heat for a few minutes before turning the heat to low and simmer

    for 45 minutes.

After which, you can mix in the flour-butter paste you set aside earlier into the pot until the soup thickens. Simmer the ingredients for another 5 minutes before stirring in cream. The cheddar
cheese comes in last, mixing one cup at a time until all have thoroughly melted.

For those who are under doctor's supervision, you can adjust the amount of cheddar cheese and lower the number of bouillon to reduce fat and cholesterol amounts. The original chicken soup
recipe contains a total of 26.6 grams fat, 129mg cholesterol, 1,092mg sodium, and 33.5g protein per serving.
